My Mountains and Valleys Will Be Made Smooth

Luke 3:5-6

Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth; And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

Jesus can heal us and fix our issues and challenges we have in life. It may not happen on the time frame we want or expect, and it may not happen the way we think it should, but he can and will heal us.  Luke 3:5-6 is often seen as showing crazy nature or weather phenomena that will happen in the last days, or what the apocalypse will look like.  I like to think of it as more hopeful and less scary. I try to see it as what the Lord can do for me.  I should reword that; it is what the Lord will do “with” me.  It takes work on my end as well, but if I put in the time and effort the Lord will fill the valley of my pains and worries.  He will bring low the mountains of my weaknesses and pride.  The crooked paths we all have or may strayed on will be made straight as we repent and find our way back.  The rough parts of our personalities or the rough parts we cause though sinning will be made smooth.

We will all see the salvation of the God, and we can all have eternal life.
